Born on September 14, 1982 to a dual military household, his mom in the United States Navy and Father a United States Marine, Jonathan Myers moved quite frequently throughout his life. Each move, although difficult for a growing young man, had the added benefit of absorbing the experiences of the people and environments he came into and allowed him to learn from an early age how to make friends and communicate effectively, an invaluable skill that would help him immensely later on in life. Jonathan ended up graduating from Hewitt-Trussville High School in Trussville, Alabama where he promptly followed in the footsteps of his Father and eldest brother joining the United States Marine Corps in the summer of 2001.
Serving on both the east and west coast, Jonathan deployed twice to Iraq and once more to Afghanistan before his service came to an end due to medical issues. As a disabled Vet Jonathan moved to Jacksonville, North Carolina to be closer to family, finish his Business Management Degree, and start a new chapter with his son. Upon graduating from National University Jonathan attended real estate school to help veterans like himself obtain the American dream of home ownership.
With the successful graduation of real estate school and passing his national and state real estate exams, Jonathan started his career as a licensed REALTOR®. As a hungry new broker, Jonathan was at the office at 4:30am studying contracts, the real estate process, and how to successfully work with clients. Always making his own path, Jonathan started making notes, soon filling up multiple notepads working to develop his own way to work with clients, developing a way to streamline the workflow of the real estate transaction to make it easier and repeatable, and design a multi-pronged prospecting model that would ensure success in any real estate market, anywhere in the country.
After quickly becoming a top agent with his firm, Jonathan decided to take on the daunting task and responsibility of creating a real estate team. After working through the initial learning curve of starting a team The Vested Realty Group saw great success with consistent recognition as a Top Team, solidifying his reputation as an effective teacher, mentor, and leader. It was these qualities that directed the spotlight upon him and setting the stage for the next step in Jonathan’s career, Managing Broker of the Wilmington office of Realty ONE Group Affinity.
With Jonathan accepting the honor of his new position he will be charged with taking on the industrious task of starting the Wilmington Office from the ground up in a city already full of numerous real estate companies and seasoned agents. Located at 2808 Market St, the Wilmington office of Realty One Group Affinity, the outside of the office has prime visibility and great parking, with the inside showcasing a modern office feel and the “Coolture” Realty ONE Group is known for. Jonathan intends to come out the gate swinging and take the New Hanover County by storm and prove why Realty ONE Group’s 100% commission structure and modern business model will be a true market disruptor to the traditional real estate companies in the area.
